The Correct NFL Power Rankings

1) New England Patriots

Is there really an explanation necessary for this one? The only question here is if this is the best Pats team ever?

2) Atlanta falcons

No Super Bowl hangover for them. Historic loss means they come out fired up. Their only real loss was a backup linebacker, and they added Dontari Poe to sure up that middle. Their defense is young and improving, no reason they aren't just as good if not better than last season.

3) Seattle Seahawks

The defense got even scarier with Richardson in that front 7. This defense is scary good and the offense still has Russell Wilson. The issue is the offensive line and whether they can keep Wilson healthy for the duration of the season.

4) Pittsburgh Steelers

The steelers get Martavis Bryant back and added JuJu Smith-Schuster in the draft, and Le'Veon Bell sounds like he's on a mission. The defense added Joe Haden and while they are going to still play lots of zone defense the word is they want to throw more conventional man-to-man than the normal Steelers defense.

5) Dallas cowboys

Everyone is worried about their horrible defense, I've got news for you.... They were awful last year too! They still went 13-3. Dak is back for year 2 and looks sharp. The defense is very young and I like what I see. People are worried because they lost their two starting corners, well the best corner on their team last year was 6th round pick Anthony Brown. The team will continue to excel with or without Zeke, and that offense is going to chew clock and keep the defense fresh and the opponent out of rhythm.

6) Green Bay Packers

Aaron Rodgers. Do you need anything else? They added a legitimate tight end in Martellus Bennett.

7) New York Giants

The offensive line is abysmal and they don't really have a running back I like. So don't run, and try not to get Eli killed. The defense is phenomenal and could easily be one of the top 5 in football. Brandon Marshall and Evan Engram give Eli even more weapons than last year so expectations are high for the Giants.

8) Houston Texans

STOP HATING TOM SAVAGE. This defense was the best in football without JJ Watt last year. Yes they lost AJ Bouye but I think they will be ok. Tom Savage is an adequate quarterback in the NFL who loves throwing the ball to Hopkins, and with this defense that's all you need.

9) Arizona Cardinals

The honey badger is back and so is the Cardinals swagger. David Johnson is a legitimate contender for best back in the NFL. Yes the defense lost Calais Campbell but Tyrann Mathieu is back! the X factor on this offense is going to be John Brown and whether he's going to be able to give you 16 games.

10) Sandiego chargers

The Chargers are for real. Philip Rivers is a very good quarterback Keenan Allen is healthy (knock on wood) and hopefully Mike Williams will be able to contribute sooner rather than later. This defense is good and improving, and I think Melvin Gordon is going to take another step forward. This is your new AFC West champ.

11) Minnesota Vikings

This defense is my favorite to watch in the NFL, they fly to the football. The offense is getting better Latavius Murray, who was brought in to be the starting running back said rookie Dalvin Cook "earned" the starting job. The kid is good, very good and hopefully he can take some pressure off of Sam Bradford and we will see a very good Vikings team.

12) Tampa Bay buccaneers

I love Jameis Winston. Loved him and college and love him now, the man is a leader. This offense has weapons everywhere. The very young offensive line is gaining experience and getting better. The defense is solid and getting better with the huge acquisition of TJ Ward.

13) Tennessee Titans

Tennessee keeps adding weapons to surround their young quarterback and the Dick LeBeau style defense is working beautifully here. I expect them to take another step forward and compete with the Texans for the Division.

14) Oakland raiders

Their offense is better and their defense is going to need to take a giant step forward if they want to seriously compete with the top 5 teams. They are close but they aren't there yet. Sadly my guy Obi Melifonwu is out for the year with a knee injury. He is an absolute physical specimen at 6'4" and next year he can hopefully come back strong and really sure up a weak backend.

15) Philadelphia Eagles

Carson Wentz has big weapons in Alshon Jeffery, and big play target Torrey Smith. This defense is really good, and I don't really see a weakness on the team. This team is an all-around good team.

16) Baltimore Ravens

This defense is great. The question is the offense, what does Jeremy Maclin do on a new team? Will they actually try and run the ball? Is Joe Flacco healthy? Big questions and a big divisional test week one.

17) Carolina Panthers

Huge offensive additions in rookies Curtis Samuel and Christian McCaffrey who is the perfect change of pace back from Jonathan Stewart. Hopefully Newton is healthy and this offense could be very fun to watch.

18) New Orleans Saints

Drew Brees, and his 3 running backs. Michael Thomas in year two, can he improve? The Saints defense is getting better and Drew Brees will always put up points.

19) Denver broncos

The Broncos cut TJ Ward but they feel like their young safeties can step in seamlessly. Trevor Simien is going to have a better year and hopefully someone in that backfield can get it going.

20) Cincinnati Bengals

The skill positions on the Bengals offense are loaded! But how is that offensive line? For once the strength of this team is their offense, and once again Vontaze Burfict is suspended for an illegal hit.

21) Kansas City chiefs

Don't like the Chiefs this year. Their defense is worse and they are relying on Tyreek Hill and a rookie in Kareem Hunt to carry this offense. If this team falls out of contention will we see the tenth overall pick in at quarterback?

22) Miami dolphins

Is this team really worse without Ryan Tannehill? He threw for just under 3,000 yards last year with 19 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. I'm not impressed. I think Jay Cutler is an improvement and this team might win ten games again. But it's Jay Cutler so I'm not betting on it.

23) Washington Redskins

Love Kirk Cousins. This team has some weapons and are going to be a fun team to watch. But at the end of the day I think they are the worst team in the NFC East so it's hard to move them up the list.

24) Detroit Lions

They won a lot of close games last year, is that magic going to run out? Is Matt Stafford going to feel the pressure of his record setting contract? This team's going to come back to reality this year and realize the bounces don't always go your way.

25) Jacksonville Jaguars

Love the Jags! Talent all over the board. Their defense should be stout and at cornerback they can matchup with anyone. Sadly I think Bortles has lost the locker room and the confidence of this entire team. So sadly this team is doomed until Bortles figures out his mechanics and that the football should be thrown from up around his head and not start from his waist like an idiot.

26) St. Louis Rams

Is Jared Goff any good? I honestly have no idea I'm genuinely asking someone. He has weapons there and if the heart and soul of that defense Aaron Donald signs a contract and starts playing who knows what could happen.

27) San Francisco 49ers

Brian Hoyer isn't bad and could surprise people! but they are young and transitioning.

28) Cleveland browns

Love everything about the Browns! Sadly the football gods don't and the number one pick is now out with an ankle injury. Pray for the Browns.

29) Buffalo bills

I don't think the Bills want to win. It looks like they are tanking.

30) Chicago Bears

Injury issues at wide receiver a young team in transition, and just not very good yet.

31) Indianapolis colts

How long is Luck out for? If Andrew Luck is out for an extended period this team is awful!

32) New York Jets

Do I really need to say anything for this?
